Document attestation in Bahrain

We manage the attestation of educational, personal and commercial documents with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the other authorities that must sign before it.

What is attestation?

Attestation is the official confirmation that the signature and stamp on a document are genuine. In Bahrain the final step is usually carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, sometimes after a ministry, the notary or the Chamber of Commerce has verified the document first.

Documents we attest

Degree certificates and transcripts, school certificates, birth and marriage certificates, police clearance certificates, medical certificates, powers of attorney, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, CR extracts and company documents.

Incoming and outgoing documents

We attest Bahraini documents that will be used abroad, and we complete the Bahraini steps for foreign documents that were already legalized in their country of origin.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between attestation and apostille?

An apostille is a single certificate used between countries that are party to the Hague Apostille Convention. Attestation and legalization involve several authorities and are used when the destination country does not accept an apostille.

How long does MOFA attestation take?

Timing depends on the document and on which authorities need to sign before the ministry. We give you a realistic timeline with your quote.

Do I need to come in person?

Usually not. In most cases we can handle the entire process for you with an authorization letter.
